The silence within – Heaven Letter # 3568

Events in the world are only events in the world. They are not lasting. Events are passing things. They seem momentous, and yet they are ships passing in the night. Events alight for a moment, and then they take off. They lose their steam. Stars in the sky sustain themselves and routinely appear, yet everything in the world seems to rise and decline. Where are the movie stars of yesteryear?

You, too, are a ship that passes in the night, and yet, how much energy have you extended to other ships passing in the night? Events are gone the moment they arrive.

All this too shall pass. Beloved, all this has already passed.

The moon emerges, and the moon changes its shape. As We speak, the moon is shifting. And the Earth spins under your feet.

And yet the you of you is eternal. The world is a passing thing, and you are forever. This is a strange mix, is it not?

Nothing is permanent but the you of you and the I of I, which, unbelievable as it is to you, are One and the Same. And yet while you sojourn on Earth, you are nimble, and you enter into the hop, skip, and jump of life with all your heart. Of course, you do. You are an active participant in the drama, and you play your role well. All the while, I observe, and I am the Silence within you, giving My whole heart to you who gives your whole heart to the drama in life, and, to Me. We are a whirl of paint in many colors, and yet We are not whirled at all. The whirling is the drama, not the actuality.

In actuality, you are the Supreme Stillness that I AM. You have a little dream, and, all the while, the dream seems so true, so alive, so close, so uplifting or so demeaning, and, yet, all the while, it is only a little dream of this and that, and sometimes it is twisted out of shape, and sometimes it is clear and beautiful and full of what dreams are made of and are coming true.

And so you are immersed and enmeshed in a grid of drama on the screen, and you are pulled like taffy this way and that.

To keep an even perspective is not an easy thing. An even perspective is hard to grasp when you are being flipped hither and yon. Nevertheless, you always alight on the solid ground of Heaven.

Life on Earth, in its glitter and in its shadows, is a party you go to for a little while, and then you always go Home and into the real life of the spirit that is, indeed, your life.

Surely all this that seems to go on around you is a fantasy, and too often a fantasy of errors. The Truth is no fantasy, beloveds.

The Truth is a different Reality altogether. It is the Only Reality, if Truth be known. Let Truth be known. Let it be known as it is. Truth is not a traveler. Truth is a permanent resident, and it lives in your heart. Your heart may feel wear and tear, yet there is no wear and tear in Truth. Truth is truly where it is at.

Truth in all its glory seems to be out of reach for you, and yet, you reach for it. You reach for it nobly. While you do the running dash on Earth, you are, nevertheless, established, all settled in Heaven, and away We go, and here We stay.

The radius of your heart – Heaven Letter # 3504

That you welcome all into your midst means that you don’t keep anyone out from the circumference of your heart. No matter how someone has offended you, he is still welcomed to the world. You do not obliterate him. If someone hurt your feelings twice, you are not entitled to hurt his once. It is not necessary.

If someone snubbed you ten times, you are not to snub him once.

Never let enmity get so far that you do not talk to someone. You don’t turn your nose up in the air. Because someone acted poorly is no reason for you to cast him out from the radius of your heart. Because someone was less than you, you do not become the same as he and less than yourself, for then you diminish life on Earth, and you diminish all.

Acting on My behalf means to equate yourself with Me. Climb higher. If you must copy someone, copy Me. That is the same as to say to widen your horizons. Do not lower your horizons. Do not copy one who has offended you. Rise instead.

I do not hold anything against anyone. I do not turn anyone away. All are My children, and all are innocent. Free Will means that you are allowed to make mistakes. You yourself have done so. Everyone on Earth has done so. All are free to come to Me at whatever junction in life they may be at. I welcome all. I do not welcome only the holy. I welcome all, those who seemingly need Me the most as well as those who seemingly need Me the least. Who is to say, beloveds, which you are or which someone else is.

The inter-relationship between all My children is unfathomable. That the connection exists is not arguable. There is one great team that everyone plays in, and each affects the other. What part you play may be questionable, but that you play a part is not in question.

If you are a basketball player, it is for you to jump high.

If you are a swimmer, it is for you to swim far.

If you are a digger, it is for you to dig deep.

If you are a speaker, it is for you to speak well of others and yourself.

If you are listener, it is for you to listen.

If you do not understand someone else, it is for you to learn understanding.

If you resent someone’s words or deeds, it is for you to let go of resentment.

If someone owes you an apology, consider that it is given. If necessary, make their apologies to yourself for them in your own heart, and it is done. Accept their apology, and now make your own apology for taking offense to them. It is true that you are sorry you took offense. And now the message is sent, and now you have freed yourself, and now you can move forward in life.

Life is to be fluid, beloveds, and you are to be fluid. You are not to be rigid, nor are you to bind yourself to one position from which you cannot move. Let your heart flow.

If life is to be agreeable, then you must be agreeable.

This is what it means to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You are the one who goes first. You are the one who paves the way. You pave the way by uplifting yourself and, therefore, others.

Serve God over the past – Heaven Letter #3486

It is essential that you let go of your past mistakes. No matter how much you regret, no matter how careless a mistake, or how deliberate, you have to let go of it. Otherwise, you lasso yourself to the past and tie yourself there. This does no good to you or any man. Flagellating yourself is non-productive. It embeds the error. Tell the error, “Begone.”

If you must be punished with the realization of the error of your deed or non-deed, you have already been punished enough. Do not keep yourself in the dunce’s chair. There is no point to it. You are someone who learned something. The person who made the error and the person who regrets it are not the same person now. Regret your mistake once, and then be done.

You have to let go of the past. You have to free yourself from it. For My sake, let go of the past, and its errors.

Is it not true that heretofore you have been relentless with yourself? Now, I beg of you, let the guilt go. I exonerate you. You are all atoned for. You will not make that mistake again. Is that not good enough?

Why whip the hand, beat the chest, embed a knife in your heart again and again, to what avail?

Every time you imprint an error in your heart, you make it deeper. You make a rotogravure of it. Better to erase it. Do you see the humaneness and practicality of what I am saying? Do not keep error to you. Do not sustain it. Do not feed it over and over again. Release it.

You make no excuses, but you have to let error go. Congratulate yourself for being further along than you once were. Can you not be glad for progress made?

I congratulate you. I congratulate you for having greater vision now. I congratulate you that you are done making that error. You will not step in the same puddle again. Go ahead now, and buy yourself some new shiny shoes. Reward yourself.

You have graduated from an error. Once you were ignorant, and now you are less ignorant. Now you are wiser.

In the world, you do not have to be perfect. You are here on Earth learning how to live divinely in a human world. This is not always easy, but, dear ones, do not make it hard for yourself. There is no percentage in it, not for you, not for anyone.

When you have reached a higher rung in the ladder, you have reached it. Climb up, not down. Think of the greater good and not your penitence.

How does your sitting in a corner, chewing your nails, lashing your back, feeling regret and pain – how does that serve the world? It does not. It pains the world. Why not bless the world? Say:

“I made a mistake. I’m sorry, deeply sorry. Now I erase my mistake from the face of the Earth. I would not burden the world any longer with my regrets. I cast off this burden, from myself and from the world. I have vanquished the dragon. This dragon’s term is over. And now I shall go forward on Earth and slay all the dragons of my past and leave a clean playing field for myself and for others forevermore.

“Once I was a scalawag. Now I am further along. I do not keep the dragons of my past in a cage where I can see them. I am not a taxidermist. I live life, and I serve God, not my past. This is good enough.”

The river banks of your life – Heaven Letters # 3437

God said:

Did you ever think you would be exactly where you are now? Did you dream of how connected you would be with the world? Did you ever really think that you would age and go through all the milestones that you have. Once you were fifteen, then twenty, then thirty, etc. And, still, all the while, you are you. You are you through the thick and thin of life. You are you. Does this not perhaps tell you that you are something more than your body and the individuality that moves along with your body – and beyond?

There is a constant that runs through your life, and it is you, this you that you hardly dare believe in, the Eternal you, the Truth of you, the Soul of you that runs through your life like a river. This river never dries up. It runs through your life, ever-flowing, filling the riverbanks of your life.

Whatever sturm and drang you may be going through, the Eternal you is not going through it. The Eternal you is always strong in the background, and The Eternal you calmly paddles a canoe down your life and does not get excited or frantic the way the individual you skimming the surface of life may.

Beloveds, I understand you. I understand your fears and your emotions, and how hard-hitting life in the world can seem. I am trying to ease you into another mode where the individuality of you, too, may find the way to paddle a canoe through the river of life, where you will hear a different tune, where you will paddle in joy and rise above the concerns that pursue you now.

I am telling that you that you can outdistance the surface of life. I am telling you that you do not have to be beleaguered by it. You do not have to be aggrieved.

Beloveds, when you abide in Eternity, how much will snags upset you? When you know, really deep-down, know that you are eternal, what obstacles will overshadow you? Ah, but, yes, your body and the mind of your body get upset, and you, human that you are, feel pain and believe it is yours to stock in your heart.

Now, have compassion for yourself and others, and not be tormented. See further than the eye can see. Lean back and love life in all its variety. Sail on life and keep your rudder straight. Be your own lodestar. Ride up and down with the waves of life, and keep your balance.

Animals run on instinct, yet you have choice as to how you deal in life. You have choice. You are a human being. You are the Highest of the High. You are the son or daughter of a King. You are not a roustabout.

The world may seem like a wild kingdom that scares you, and yet you don’t have to be frightened. Peace also exists. Joy exists. Goodness exists. The matters that frighten you are in the minority. They are only a small per cent.

You can deal well with whatever in life lands at your door. Wait until it lands before you give yourself pain. Worry and fear are their own pain. Sail above them. You already know from experience that when heartbreak reaches you, your heart does not break. It bends, and it recovers. You can choose to recover quickly. You do not have to wear the black of mourning for a year. You will get over heartache soon or late. Might as well get over it soon. You do not have to suffer. You are Bright Light.

Greener pastures – Heaven Letter # 3429

God said:

There are many themes I give to you often. I say you are perfect to Me as you are. I say you have to let go of the past. I say you have to think new thoughts. I say to you that you have to move on in your life, and I say to you that all is well. What are you to make of My advice that may seem contradictory and equivocal to you? How can I call you perfect as you are and also tell you to move on and to change? How can I tell you to let loose of the past and start thinking and living in new ways? And then how can I tell you that all is well when life sure doesn’t appear that way to you?

All is true, beloveds.

You are perfect today. I do love you as you are. I also do ask you to grow. Would you really want to recline in the same bed you made today and not move on to greener pastures tomorrow? There is not a discrepancy between what you want and I want.

You are irrefutably My beloved child. Whatever you do or don’t do, I love you. I see My light in you. I see Myself in you. There is nothing I can do about My love for you. I do not withhold it from you nor do I withhold from Myself the joy of loving you.

At the same time, I do not ask you to stay as you are. I say today is a new day. A new sun is dawning. And you are to dawn as well.

I suggest that you intend to grow closer to Me. And then leave it to Me. I suggest that you desire and then let go of the desire.

I do not ask you to whip your life into place, I ask you to leave your life to Me, and yet I ask for a little effort from you, very little, almost no effort at all. I do not tell you to rest on your laurels. There are times when I ask you to make conscious deliberate change. At the same time, I do not ask you to run a race.

When you catch yourself reacting in old ways, getting angry perhaps, feeling put upon perhaps, or feeling vain or demeaned, I ask you to reconsider. I ask you to remind yourself: “I act in new ways now.” Perhaps you will ask yourself: “How would God like me to handle this?” And maybe you know, or maybe you don’t know. And if you do know, maybe you act on it, or maybe you don’t. In any case, I do not ask you to beat yourself up about it nor do I ask you to start crowing about your steps forward. I ask you to take yourself in your stride. I ask you to take life in your stride.

Your life is in My hands, and, nevertheless, your life is your responsibility. I call you to action, and I call you to relax. I call you to be content, and I call you to come out of your comfort zone. I call you to action, but I do not call you to revolution.

I call you to take it easy, and I call you to not take it too easy. I tell you that there is nothing for you to do, and I tell you there is something for you to do.

I do not tell you to focus on improving yourself. At the same time I ask you not to be altogether laissez-faire when it comes to you. I ask you to rely on Me, and to also rely on yourself. This is a good combination. Invite this combination to you.
