Your Dominant Life Vibration

I have found in my work with people and my research that people all have what I would call a “Dominant Life Vibration.” This denotes that one specific thing which they are having the most challenges with, and it is also in this area that they will manifest the most change and problems, and this area is also their biggest area of healing or shift.

Your Dominant Life Vibration is the platform of this lifetime from which you play the game, it is also the filter through which you regard others and all events in your life will come to you by way of this mindset. Of course, as you evolve, this vibration/view of your world shifts as well, and it is by measuring the changes in this field that you will most easily be able to measure your advancement on your path.

If your DLV is one of sadness, of feeling unworthy, depression,of feeling undeserving and also having show up in your life confirmation of this, i.e. low abundance, losses, etc, growth will, for you, show up as feeling better, seeing yourself as more deserving etc. and of course also your life with start showing the signs of this – better abundance, greater self confidence, better relationships with friends and family etc.

If your DLV is one of anger, of having difficulty controlling yourself, of flying off the handle easily, of blaming others for what shows up in your life, then of course the change in your life will be feeling less aggressive, more tolerant towards others, and your life will become more and more peaceful as you unfold spiritually.

And if your DLV (and these are just examples) is one of having learnt as a child that helping others brings you attention and love (which it of course doesn’t), and this has led to a life of co dependent relationships and addictive behavior, improvement in your life will show itself as being able to allow others to live their lives, being able to enforce boundaries in your life, etc.

And of course it is true that these demarcations are text book examples – what one would normally find is a mix of many of these – and the greater the growth the individual has chosen to experience in this lifetime, the more DLV’s you will encounter in that person’s life, all waiting to be shifted as he/she moves towards spiritual enlightenment.

How amazing we are – all these situations are of our own creation, our ways of shifting area’s of less than optimum vibration in our lives. It is necessary to understand that there is no right and wrong here, just moving along a scale of pinched off vibration to a place of greater connection to Source and pure positive energy.

A call for planetary change

We live in a time of great change, great contrast – the very rich as opposed to the very poor, the disempowered as opposed to the very powerful, those who are very vocal as opposed to those who have no voice at all. Wars as opposed to places of tranquility and calm, hate and dissension as opposed to love and acceptance. This is still a world of duality, as we move forward to that place where duality will simply no longer be a part of the reigning co creation.

We have choices – we can choose to focus on all the different things happening in our lives, give our attention to causes in order to support them, push against what we consider wrong, march in the streets and create a great voice which we will lift against life’s unfairness.

Or we can realize that underlying all this, is a Great Plan which We created: cosmic laws called the Law of Attraction in our time, the song of the universe which holds everything in place in its imperfect perfection.

We can turn inwards where that Song is always playing if we will but hear it – the Song of our Oneness, the song the words of which we will hear if we can still the clamoring in our own minds …. which says that we are One, that all that we see “out there” is the dream, that we are the blessed and divine Dreamers, caught up and confused by the seeming “reality” of our co created virtuality.

And by turning inwards, and accepting and understanding that this is where our power lies, in our embracing the tenets of the Law of Attraction, we can finally know the release and peace which comes from understanding that the noise, clamor, war, dissension, pain, tragedy, “out there” is all in here, all where you feel your heart beating, – it is your creation, and you can change it. Note – not “uncreate” it, but change it, by focusing on the part of your creation which you love, which you want to see more of, by focusing on your growth, on that which makes your heart sing. And as we do this, as we focus love on those places on our planet which are in uproar instead of focusing attention on THEM and thus creating more of them, our world will change as it is already changing. A few people gathered together in light create more change than a whole crowd in uproar against something they hate. What you push against, what you hate, you bind to you with hoops of steel and it will never, ever leave you and your reality – but what you can see as changing to love and understanding, to unconditional love without the expectation of any return, changes as you think THIS THOUGHT, at this very moment… and your light reaches out to the very ends of the universe, shimmering love as you are, nebulous ever changing energy, the Energy of Love and Light.

Change ourselves, change the planet, change the universe. We can.

Your changing nature – Bob Garrity

The other day we had some take out from our favorite local Chinese restaurant. My fortune cookie had the intriguing fortune – “A great pleasure in life is doing what others say you can’t”. I got a chuckle and realized there is a lot of truth in that. It also reminded me of the fact that often, if you are on the path of growth and self awareness, your changing nature may pose a challenge to those who know you best.

Everyone forms an image of others around them. It is built, over time, of shared experiences and shared stories. Our natural tendency is to retain that image and to re-enforce that image of the person we know. The more we know them the stronger this tendency can be. There is comfort to our ego process with “familiar faces”.

This can clearly be seen in the process between parents and children. At some point the child has to become an adult, however in the parent’s mind they are still their child. A necessary split has to happen for the child to go out on their own. This dynamic can also be true with others we know and love.

That is why often, in ancient days, when a student approached a Sufi Master and asked to become their pupil one of the first things the Sufi Master would do is to command the new student to move to a new town and to take up a new line of work. The Master knew that the forces of family and friends would be too strong to allow the new student to grow and to start on the path to awareness. Even keeping the same line of work could put them in a familiar routine – the idea was to start the teaching with a clean slate.

Of course in our day and age this is not practical nor even desirable. It thus becomes very important for those who wish to grow and evolve to surround themselves as much as possible with like minded individuals. If those who know you the most and love you the best are also on a path of self discovery then it will be much easier for them to give you the space to grow and to accept you as you do so. Then when you interact with others who may still see you in an old and limited way you can just smile and think of the fortune cookie and take great pleasure in doing what they think you can’t.

Finding grace in change

When we are immersed in confusion, change, when we feel as if we are in limbo as events and changes swirl around us, we need to grasp, to hold onto something. The more desperate our need, the more desperate our search for some kind of stability. And the more desperate we are, of course, the more difficult things become as we focus on them almost obsessionally.

It is a process. A process which moves us forward in our self created construct of stability – change – confusion – reestablishment of stability – stability, in an ever continuing cycle, over and over. And every time we go through this process, every time we allow ourselves to float weightlessly on the wave of the new unknown, we discover that we trust the process, that we trust our ability to come out the other end in one piece, more and more.

Familiarity with the process and the results of the process, as well as familiarity with how we create these things and how we benefit from them eventually bring us a sense of calm as we move through change.

The knowledge that we are so much more than these human selves, the ability to tap into that part of Ourself acts as the bridge to our discovery of Who we really are. It can happen in leaps and bounds, as we are experiencing during this time of enormous change.

It is uncomfortable, at the very least, and can feel catastrophic as we feel almost out of control of our lives. Yet there is an innate knowledge that we do sail these ships, these lives of ours, that the waves on this immense sea can feel life threatening, but we also are sometimes able to appreciate the magic of our own Creation – the magic of the God that we are, able to create lives that are so intricate, so well woven, that we mistake it for the real thing time and time again.

Every time we gain control of our lives, every time we go through changes and confusion just to emerge again with new wisdom and a higher vibration, we do what we came here to do – create and experience.

All is well.

See Your Creations

The way we have always allowed ourselves to be convinced of change, it to see it, and then we believe it, right?

So….. if we can find a process that will work in this familiar way, which will allow us to expand in our knowing of ourselves as creators but also SHOW us our creations, that would work, right?

OK…. so try this:

With your eyes closed, say the following (you may want to tape it so you can play it back to yourself) :

“Even though I know that I am still learning about myself and my role as creator of my life, I understand that my development depends on myself and so I give myself permission, here and now, to start looking for evidence of my creation of that which I want.”

This simple process, which will move you from a place of disbelief to a place of actively looking for what you want to see, repeated as often as you like, will shift you and when you start seeing things in your life that are different, that are better, that you feel really good about, even the tiny things that are JUST RIGHT, know that you are now aware of and open to noticing the changes that YOU make in your life.

And with this knowledge, and a greater amount of evidence coming into your experience on a daily basis, because you are taking credit for it, it will boost your confidence and because you are focusing on good things, you will bring more and more of them into your life. Your vibration changes in this way, and as your vibration heightens, you get access to things that vibrate at that same level, which are the wonderful things that you have been wanting for yourself all along.

It’s all about suspending disbelief allowing yourself to believe that you are the one making the changes, and then seeing the changes, and then taking the credit for it.

And so even while you are reading this, suspend your disbelief of my words, and try it!
